So long Sydney.

Well it had finally come to that day we were to leave Sydney, both Kellie and I had just finished up with work and the kids said their final goodbyes at school so quite an emotional time for some (hey Kel!).
Surprisingly after four weeks in Lane Cove Caravan Park we were able to pack up and be on the road by 10am, this caravanning is quite a bit easier than tents and camper trailers.
The journey out of Sydney was a good one, in part I have to thank a few businesses that got the car running better than ever so thank you to Dobinsons Suspension (Sydney), Tuffy Mufflers (Epping) and Cremorne Prestige (Artarmon).

We will be spending Christmas with Kellie's parents in the Hunter Valley, this will also give us chance to organise ourselves better and start on an itinerary of where we shall visit.

Holiday in the city.

Week 2 of 4 commences at the caravan park in the city, it is working out ok but would have been better if the house sale went through as planned, we could have stayed in the house an extra week due to some delays from the bank. One of the benefits of being here is we are close to nature so on the weekend the kids and I did a short walk and spotted quite a few Lizards, and the pool for a swim afterwards was much appreciated. 

Moved out and moved in!.

On the weekend we moved out of our house, lots of small stuff to sort and dispose of with trips to the local Salvos and rubbish dump.
Finally later on Sunday we hooked the van up and headed to the van park where we would call home for the next 4 weeks.

Getting closer!

Three days away from moving out the house, never thought we had so much stuff and a little overwhelming but thing Kellie has all under control. :)

Car is pretty much set, van just needs final packing then we should be right, of course we will have chance to tidy a few things up whilst at Lane Cove van park. We should both be finished with work mid December which will be nice in the run up to Christmas.

Plans are coming together.

So, things are moving on quickly, on the weekend we sold our house and this week i resigned from my job. We will need to move out of the house in six weeks and are looking to move into our caravan at a local caravan park until the kids finish term.
Our plan is to hit the road mid to late January 2014, best start to work out where to go!.
